Meet The Owner
Jemma Askew
I've had a deep passion for working with and rehabilitating animals from a young age. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with a range of breeds— I've owned many dogs, including German Shepherds, a Kelpie, a Cattle Dog, my childhood pets: Mini Foxy mix and Cocker Spaniel and I currently own two Belgian Shepherds as well as a German Shepherd! I've also cared for cats, ride horses and actively breed budgies, giving me a well-rounded understanding of animal behaviour. This lifelong connection with animals drives my calm, confident, and compassionate approach to pet care.
I’ve professionally worked with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, helping with everything from basic puppy obedience and confidence building to resolving leash reactivity, fear-based behaviours, aggression, and even protection training. I hold a Certificate II in Animal Studies, Certificate II in Horse Care, and an Advanced Certificate in Dog Psychology and Behaviour. Whatever your dog’s needs, I’m here to help you achieve a calm, confident, and well-balanced companion.

What makes us different to other boarding kennels is that we provide a small, intimate environment housing no more than 3 families at a time.
